The Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health Services teams are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients across the continuum of recovery and behavioral health treatment. This leadership position partners with nursing leadership, therapy services, physicians, case management, and support departments to ensure operational excellence, workforce development, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. You will play a vital role in fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

 

How you’ll contribute 

A Director, Rehabilitation & Behavioral Health Services who excels in this role:

  • Directs daily operations, staffing, and clinical oversight for Rehabilitation and Behavioral Health units.
  • Oversees recruitment, retention, onboarding, competency management, and workforce development for RN, LPN, CNA, PCT, SNT, and BHT staff.
  • Develops and maintains competency validation programs, annual skills fairs, and role-specific educational pathways.
  • Leads performance improvement initiatives, audits, corrective action plans, and quality monitoring activities.
  • Ensures compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, state, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient outcomes and efficient operations.
  • Promotes a supportive, accountable, trauma-informed culture across all assigned departments.
  • Ensures safe, patient-centered care delivery and a positive patient experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

What we’re looking for 


Applicants should possess leadership experience in rehabilitation, behavioral health, or acute care settings. Additional requirements include:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Handle With Care (HWC) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Progressive leadership experience in rehabilitation, behavioral health, or acute care.
  • Demonstrated success with workforce management, competency development, and performance improvement.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements for rehabilitation and behavioral health services.
