  1. Position Summary

The Student Success Coordinator is focused on providing exceptional service at the Student Success front desk. Student Success Coordinator provides essential information, aid in navigation of online resources, and answers questions for current and former students, parents/families, alumni, faculty, staff, academic units and the university community in the areas of student records and registration, advising, and career services, as well as the ability to work directly with academic units on more in-depth inquiries. The Student Success Coordinator provides administrative, logistical, and other support to the Office of Student Success and the Office of Financial Aid.

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the front-line contact for Advising, Career Services, Financial Aid, and Records Office, and effectively answer general questions asked by current and/or previous students, parents, faculty, staff, academic units, and other constituents.
  • Assists with and stays up to date on general information regarding office functions including registration, student portal, advising, and other University operations.
  • Assists staff from the Office of Student Success and Office of Financial Aid by responding to and processing general inquiries for assistance from students, staff, or faculty.
  • Check-in students for meetings and help organize email communication. Adheres to FERPA regulations.
  • Responsible for tracking statistical data regarding student appointments, registration activity and enrollment verifications.
  • Maintains an orderly and professional office environment and provides administrative support to the Office of Student Success including but not limited ordering supplies, coordinating office events, and more.
  • Updates internal staff information documents. Maintains working knowledge of Colleague, Stellic, and other operational resources.

Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in professional setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with individuals at all levels of the university. 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, students and community members of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google or related software
  • Highly organized with strong personal management skills in order to meet the needs of a dynamic environment 
  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to interpret financial data and prepare budgets and financial grant reports

  1. Physical Requirements

Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.


  1. Other Requirements
  • This is a full time, non-exempt position. Forty hours per week (M-F) will be the general rule. However, depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and have a varying schedule when required
  • Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required
  • Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner
