Job DetailsJob Location: Honesdale, PA 18431Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: Health CareWayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor for Honesdale Women's Health, to coordinate front desk functions and assist the Practice Manager with the overall operations of the CHC physician practice.   WMCHC’s Mission Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers creates and sustains healthy rural communities by providing accessible, high quality medical, dental, and behavioral health care for all, while recognizing and addressing other factors that influence health outcomes.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintains front desk staff schedules. Coordinates schedule with practitioner’s schedule. Makes long range plans, works within budgetary constraints and makes daily adjustments to the schedule as needed. Education: Holds monthly front desk staff meetings. Sets agenda, records minutes, and utilizes sign in sheet for attendance. Conducts educational sessions to address practice changes and changes in billing or regulatory guidelines. Works with Clinical Care Coordinator and Practice Manager to identify employee’s areas of improvement.  Implements plans to include training, evaluation, and follow up. Attends and actively participates in necessary meetings as communicated by Practice Manager and/or administration. Include but is not limited to participation in committees to enhance organizational practices. Assists Practice Manager in hiring front desk staff for physician’s office.  Provides and/or arranges for employee to have necessary training and orientation. Assists the Practice Manager in development of policies and procedures applicable to individual offices. Makes recommendations for needed policies and procedures. Coordinates and records staff education with practitioners, consultants, vendors, and hospital departments. Prepares quarterly summary report. Identify issues, problems and accomplishments in offices Assists Practice Manager in other daily functions related to practice management. Provides oversight when Practice Manager is out of the office. Provides front desk staff with feedback on their performance. Completes performance evaluations in collaboration with Practice Manager. Addresses deficits in employee performance through coaching and mentoring. Issues Progressive Discipline in accordance with policy when applicable as determined in conjunction with Practice Manager and Human Resources Department. Performs duties and responsibilities of Medical Secretary as needed to fill in for lunches, breaks, call offs, or to provide assistance during high volume periods to enable optimum patient flow. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
