The Divisional Vice President, Sales leads the overall sales strategy, performance, and execution for an assigned division, driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and market share expansion. This role provides leadership to Regional Sales Managers and the Divisional Sales Manager, and reports to the EVP, Chief Commercial Officer

 

  • Leads the overall sales strategy, performance, and execution for the assigned division. 
  • Drives revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and market share expansion within the division. 
  • Leads all Behavioral Based Safety programs and initiatives within the division 
  • Builds and maintains relationships with all functional groups that support the achievement of sales and safety goals 
  • Helps drive evolving identified KPIs and their usage at the branch level to help achieve targets 
  • Establishes divisional sales goals and ensures achievement of annual sales and profitability targets. 
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and development to Regional Sales Managers, the Divisional Sales Manager, and other sales leaders. 
  • Monitors sales performance metrics, forecasting, pipeline activity, and productivity across the division. 
  • Partners with Operations, Human Resources, Customer Service, Transportation, and other business functions to support customer experience and execution. 
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key customers, strategic accounts, and industry partners. 
  • Identifies market trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities to support business expansion. 
  • Develops and manages the divisional sales budget, including expense control and resource allocation. 
  • Prepares and presents sales performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. 
  • Participates in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of Regional Sales Managers and other sales leadership positions. 
  • Provides input on pricing strategy, contract terms, and service offerings to support competitive positioning. 
  • Provides leadership to assigned employees by establishing performance expectations, assigning and monitoring work, providing coaching and feedback, supporting employee development, recognizing performance, and addressing performance concerns in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in sales, or a High School Diploma/GED and at least 12 years of experience in sales.
  • At least 5 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expenses and budgets. 
  • At least 8 years of experience directly or indirectly managing people, including developing, motivating, and directing people as they work   

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree or MBA. 
  • Experience in the environmental services, waste management, or industrial services industry. 
  • Experience negotiating contracts and pricing with strategic or key accounts. 
  •  

Work Environment: 

  • Regularly works in an office environment, with frequent use of a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment. 
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, see, and reach with hands; stand and walk. 
  • May periodically work in industrial or field environments while visiting divisional or regional locations, customer sites, or industry events. 

Travel:

  • Travel up to 75% of the time, including visits to divisional and regional locations, key accounts, and industry events.
