About the Role:
Skyframe is looking for a skilled and passionate Picture Framer with a woodworking background to join our team in Hillside, NJ. Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and assemble custom picture frames using wood and other materials
- Operate woodworking tools and equipment including saws, joiners, and routers safely and efficiently
- Fit and mount artwork, photos, and prints into finished frames with precision
- Sand, finish, and stain wood frames to meet quality and aesthetic standards
- Interpret customer orders and design specifications to deliver accurate results
- Inspect finished products for quality control before delivery or display
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
Requirements:
- Prior experience in picture framing, carpentry, or woodworking required
- Proficiency with hand tools and power woodworking equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship and quality
- Ability to read and follow measurements, blueprints, or order specifications accurately
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials of varying weights
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience with mat cutting or glass fitting is a plus
