Refrigeration/HVAC Supervisor

Position Summary

The Refrigeration/HVAC Supervisor oversees refrigeration and HVAC repair and maintenance activities, supports preventive maintenance efforts, supervises a team of more than 10 employees, and helps ensure work orders and emergency service needs are addressed in a timely manner.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance associated with refrigeration and HVAC systems.
  • Complete work orders and apply corrective and preventive measures in a timely manner.
  • Assist the maintenance team with repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Supervise and provide day-to-day leadership for a team of more than 10 employees.
  • Participate in the supervisor on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
  • Use knowledge of refrigeration and building control systems, including light programming, to support system operation and repairs.
  • Support asset management activities related to refrigeration and HVAC equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • EPA refrigeration certification.
  • Refrigeration and HVAC experience.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration and building controls, including light programming.
  • Asset management experience or knowledge.
  • Demonstrated core leadership skills.

Preferred Qualification

  • Journeyman refrigeration certification.
