The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team serving our secure youth treatment facilities (Calumet and Lincoln Centers) in Highland Park, MI. Using our evidence-based Forward Focused Treatment Model©, we deliver trauma-focused, developmentally informed care to empower youth toward a better future. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nurses with examinations, procedures, and vital signs.
  • Administer vaccinations, collect laboratory specimens, and run basic lab tests.
  • Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and help schedule appointments.
  • Manage insurance verification and interdisciplinary communications[cite: 2].


Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (Associate Degree preferred).
  • Strong computer skills and experience with EHR systems.
  • Experience scheduling appointments, multitasking, and managing administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing regulations.
  • Medical Assistant experience (3+ years) or CMA/RMA preferred, but not required.
