Senior Accountant

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE 

The senior accountant will handle all accounting operations and verify financial records and transactions.  They will utilize hands-on accounting experience and have an in-depth understanding of accounting principles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

1. Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
2. Review inter-company transactions
3. Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls
4. GL Account analysis
5. Analyze period over period fluctuations and provide management with insightful commentary of variances
6. Assist in the preparation of combined financial statements including Balance Sheets, Statements of Income, Statement of Changes in Stockholders’ Equity and Statements of Cash Flows
7. Prepare general journal entries
8. Assist with the month-end closing process
9. Assist external auditors with requests/questions
10. Assist with special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2. Seven plus years of CPG experience manufacturing a plus
3. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, experience with SAP a plus
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Strong organizational and analytical skills
6. Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
