Inertial Aerospace (IAS), a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to assist with quality and production activities at our facility in Highland Heights, Ohio. This position reports to the Director of Quality and works with all departments to support avionics maintenance.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Perform inspections on incoming parts and document any nonconformities. 
  • Initiate and follow up on product Nonconformance Reports (NCR). 
  • Maintain technical library/online database.
  • Maintain training records/online database.
  • Maintain calibration records/online database.
  • Coordinate periodic calibration of precision test equipment.
  • Conduct internal process and product audits.
  • Scan and archive quality records.
  • Other duties as assigned or delegated.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED. Associate degree preferred.
  • High degree of expertise in GD&T, using standard inspection instruments and techniques. 
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.

Work Experience:

  • Required - product inspection experience.
  • Required - experience responding to internal and external customers.
  • Prefer - prior work in an FAA Repair Station/AS9110 environment.
  • Prefer - auditing e

Specialized Knowledge or Abilities:

  • Read, write, and understand English.
  • Efficiently use MS Office applications.
  • Interact effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the inspector is regularly required to sit; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; talk and hear; and is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
