Job DetailsJob Location: Century Chair Plant 3 - Hickory, NC 28601Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DaySummary: This position is responsible for filling cushions and preparing them for upholstered units. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Places cushion cases on proper filler Fills cushions using a machine and/or regulates cushion by hand Fills pillows with appropriate fill matching to jobs Cuts seat, black bottom and kits to each job for upholster Maintains work environment and machinery in an orderly manner Must follow all safety policies and procedures All other duties assigned QualificationsPosition Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred Physical Requirements: The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand continuously throughout shift with intermittent sitting, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting Must be able to grasp filler material and cushion while filling; repetitive use of hand Repetitive use of foot to operation machine controls Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently; occasionally up to 75 lbs.
