Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 6:00am-3:00pm, Friday 6:00am-noon
Location: Beddy’s offices; 5491 Hammerfest Dr. #210 South Jordan, UT 84009
Pay: $21.00 per hour

DESCRIPTION
The Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficient unloading and loading, verification, and processing of goods. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and a focus on maintaining inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving and Dock Operations
- Oversee inbound and outbound loading and unloading operations.
- Verify packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders and ensure inventory is accurately received.
- Identify and report damages, shortages, and discrepancies.
- Direct team members in staging, sorting, and putting away of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with the team to maintain efficient product flow and warehouse space.
- Ensure forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and other warehouse equipment are properly used and maintained.
- Keep receiving and dock areas clean and organized.
- Assist with equipment and operational issues as needed.
Team Leadership and Development
- Train and coach employees on receiving procedures, equipment, and technology.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching or corrective action when necessary.
- Cross-train associates to improve flexibility and coverage within warehouse operations.
- Promote a team environment focused on accuracy, productivity, and accountability.
Process Improvement and Performance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including receiving accuracy and processing time.
- Identify and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce processing time, and minimize errors.
- Partner with other leads to resolve operational challenges and improve workflow.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attendance and punctuality record.
- Prior experience in receiving operations, with supervisory experience being a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and adopt best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
