As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring maintenance activities are planned, prioritized, and executed efficiently to support safe and reliable site operations. This position is responsible for coordinating maintenance work orders, scheduling resources, managing spare parts availability, and maintaining asset data to maximize equipment uptime and productivity. Working closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and inventory teams, you will help drive operational excellence through effective planning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Essential Job Functions
- Plan and prioritize maintenance work orders by assessing requests in the field, determining urgency, and ensuring resources are available before work begins.
- Develop and manage weekly maintenance schedules, coordinating labor, materials, tools, and contractor activities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, and Inventory teams to create work plans, develop job scopes, and prepare maintenance kits.
- Manage and maintain work orders, preventive maintenance activities, and asset records through Intelex to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Monitor and verify work completion, ensuring maintenance activities meet quality standards, housekeeping expectations, and stakeholder requirements.
- Oversee spare parts inventory, stockroom organization, critical spare availability, reorder points, and inventory accuracy.
- Analyze equipment history, maintenance metrics, and process performance data to identify improvement opportunities and enhance equipment reliability.
- Support purchasing and vendor management activities, including sourcing materials, evaluating supplier performance, and administering bidding processes when needed.
- Track and report maintenance performance metrics, budget-related information, labor utilization, and project progress to support operational decision-making.
- Conduct inventory audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve tool time, inventory management, and maintenance effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in maintenance planning, purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related industrial environment.
- Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS); Intelex experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of maintenance scheduling, work order management, spare parts inventory, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to interpret maintenance priorities and effectively coordinate resources across multiple functions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The expected salary range for this role is 45-55k but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors permitted by law.
