Spark Community is looking for a dependable and caring Bus Aide to join our transportation team!
As a Bus Aide, you'll ride along with our driver and help ensure individuals are transported safely to and from Spark Community. You'll assist passengers during the route, help maintain a safe and positive environment, and provide support to the driver as needed.
What You'll Do:
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus or van
- Make sure passengers are properly secured and safety procedures are followed
- Monitor and assist passengers throughout the route
- Support the driver in maintaining a safe and calm environment
- Communicate any concerns or incidents to the appropriate staff
- Follow transportation and safety procedures
Schedule: AM Route: 6:40am-8:30am PM Route: 2:10pm-4:00pm
This is a part-time, split-shift position with a morning and afternoon route.
- Morning route: Paid
- Mid-day: Off and unpaid
- Afternoon route: Paid
The mid-day break gives you several hours off between routes, making this a great option for someone looking for part-time work with daytime flexibility.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required — copy must be provided
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must pass all required background and maltreatment checks
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified
- No experience required; experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Dependable with reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to remain calm, attentive, and aware of passenger safety
- Ability to physically assist passengers as needed, including lifting, bending, standing, and moving throughout the route
