JOB PURPOSE: The Memory Care Director/Community Relations will oversee the daily operations of the Memory Care neighborhood. Including but not limited to, coordinating the program/activities, services, policies and procedures to insure a therapeutic, engaging and safe environment for all Residents. Supervising and management of staff and CNA's. This role will oversee all programming and also play a key role in the marketing and sales for a Memory care apartment community.

 

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a working knowledge of the most common dementia disease processes and psychopharmacology as pertains to neighbors with dementia desease processes.
  • Must have a working knowledge of failure free approaches to activities and ADLs.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Housing Management or Nursing Home Management.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience caring for individuals with age-related brain disease.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when required.
  • Must possess the ability to tactfully interact with personnel, neighbors and families.
  • Must possess an understanding of the social, psychological, physical, and leisure needs of residents living in a special care unit.

SUPERIVISON OF OTHERS: Direct and indirect supervision of staff.
