Location:  Hazleton, PA

Shift: C Shift, 11pm-7:30am, Monday to Saturday

 

Reports to: Plant Superintendent

Position Summary

Responsible for planning, coordination and control of the manufacturing process. The production manager ensures that goods and services are produced efficiently, of the right quantity, quality, and cost.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and production procedures.
  • Promotes health, safety and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Works with MRP closely to develop the weekly/monthly production schedule.
  • Directly responsible for training production employees to ensure optimum production efficiencies (KPI's).
  • Ensures the plant is running efficiently while quality of products produced meets or exceeds company standards.
  • Must be available via phone for 24/7 plant support.
  • Responsible for inventory counts of in-process raw materials.
  • Generates requisitions for production supplies.
  • Verifies production data and input into the computer system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provides information at the daily production meetings regarding the current line status (including issues, causes, and preventative techniques used to prevent further issues).
  • Responsible for ordering/inventory of PPE needed for employees.
  • Manpower utilization of production crews.
  • Covers Shift Supervisors during vacation when needed.
  • This position also involves very close liaison with MRP and Customer Service with the scheduling of Production. 

  • Additional reporting to Plant Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English 
  • Manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of industry experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. in related field preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
