About the Role:

The Millwork Driver position at Midwest Lumber & Supply II in Harrisonville, MO, is a critical role responsible for the safe and timely delivery of millwork products to customers across the region. This role ensures that all products are handled with care, loaded properly, and transported efficiently to meet customer expectations and maintain company standards. The driver will serve as a key representative of the company, providing excellent customer service during deliveries and addressing any concerns professionally. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (Minimum Class E) appropriate for the vehicle class operated.
  • Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy millwork materials safely. Frequently 75 lbs and up.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver millwork products to residential and commercial customers within assigned routes.
  • Load and unload millwork materials carefully to prevent damage, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Verify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures to confirm receipt of products.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service, addressing questions or concerns during deliveries.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate loading schedules and product availability.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while operating vehicles.
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
