Job Summary:

The main function of a Benefits Analyst is to manage benefit-related data and compliance processes, including performing various audits in Workday to ensure data integrity and running reports to update information. This role serves as lead for Retro deduction processes. Additionally, the Analyst guides the global benefits team in administering Qualified Life Events (QLE) and new hire changes, ensuring timely responses to benefits inquiries from colleagues, managers, or HR via Zendesk, and auditing and updating Workday benefits and demographic data.  ​

Job Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Auditing: Provides guidance and works closely with the global benefits team to manage data within Workday, performing various audits to ensure accuracy and running reports to update data as needed.  

  • Operational Support: Provides guidance and serve as backup support to the global Benefits team for administering Qualified Life Events (QLE) and new hire changes.

  • Workday Enhancements/Updates:  Submits JIRA requests and works closely with HRIS/HRIT to correct or modify Workday processes and data

  • ZenDesk Macros:  Identify and coordinate updates to macros for benefit events (open enrollment, new hire, QLE, etc.)

  • Payroll: Act as primary lead for the Retro deduction process each payroll cycle

  • Benefits Administration Backup: May serve as backup for Leave of Absence (LOA) Administration, FSA/HSA and 401k administration.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in the Benefits Administration or HR-related experience

  • Regulatory Knowledge: General knowledge of regulations governing Benefits, particularly Enrollment and Qualified Life Events.

  • Technical Proficiency: Solid experience with Workday navigation, Benefits modules, and Zendesk ticketing.  Workday Benefits certification or willingness to become certified.  

  • Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets (e.g., vlookups, pivot tables) for data analysis and reporting.

  • Communication & Service: Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail Orientation: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially regarding sensitive data.

  • Organization: Strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

 

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related fields, Master’s degree preferred. 

  • 3 years in a benefits role with progressive responsibility

  • Experience in the implementation, and administration of various types of benefit programs including health & welfare, and wellness.

  • Ability to present detailed concepts and market considerations in an approachable way

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

  • Experience in M&A projects, and/or integration projects is a plus

  • Demonstrable working knowledge of health & welfare concepts, laws and regulations, and human resources systems and reporting tools

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google applications, Workday experience preferred

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Fully Remote position: Must have a dedicated workspace that minimizes distractions and enables focused work, ensuring a productive remote work environment.

Base Pay Range $57,000 - $73,000/ year

While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).

Incumbent must be prepared to:

  • Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.

  • Fingering and Repetitive motions; such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching and typing during your normal working environment.
  • Express or exchange ideas with others through the use of spoken word, quickly, accurately, and at an easily audible volume, and receive detailed information through oral communication at usual speaking levels without correction, and/or make fine discriminations in the nature of sounds in the environment.

Incumbent is required to have:

  • Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screen and expansive reading.

Incumbent will be subject to:

  • Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
