Responsibilities:

  • The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is responsible for administering anesthesia and providing anesthesia-related care before, during, and after surgical or procedural interventions. 
  • Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort. determine appropriate anesthesia plans.
  • Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed to maintain stability during surgery.
  • Provide post-anesthesia care, assessing patients as they recover and addressing any complications.
  • Maintain accurate records of anesthesia administration and patient responses, following legal and facility documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about the anesthesia process and post-operative expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program 
  • Active RN and CRNA licensure in the state of Kentucky
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification



As Needed to fill in for vacation and sick relief for full-time CRNA
