The role:
Business Development Associates (BDA) serve as the interface between our clients and our in-house technical experts. BDAs work directly with clients to understand the strategy and technical demand of a specific client and provide guidance on which of our technical investigation or testifying services offer the best solution.Â
BDAs focus on fostering existing client relationships and cultivating new client relationships. A successful BDA will require attention to detail and quality time management to manage and maintain client accounts. They will enjoy flexibility and the opportunity to travel and grow new accounts within their region. The BDA will leverage company-sponsored conferences, client meetings and other in-person and virtual events to develop new client relationships.Â
The ideal candidate has impeccable communication skills and is motivated and self-driven to learn. A successful BDA will understand the language and needs of our clients, develop a functional understanding of the firm’s many technical offerings, and appreciate how each discipline is strategically dispatched to benefit our clients. Immediate training and support are provided alongside an exceptional business development and expert team to collaborate with and learn from. What you will do:
- Strengthen relationships and grow business with repeat and new clients.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with clients in their offices to develop business.
- Attend and participate in conferences and networking events.Â
- Coordinate partnerships to host speaking presentations that showcase our services.Â
- Manage sponsorships with professional organizations within your sales territory.
- Field, manage, and follow up on incoming leads and inquiries.
- Manage, track, and report engagement activities and results.
- Work with local and national experts to develop and execute engagement strategies.
- Stay current with developments in the legal industry and identify new opportunities.
- Perform other related duties.
What we require:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: 3+ years of business development/sales experience in the professional services market.Â
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office & CRM software (exp. w/ Oracle/NetSuite systems is a plus).
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, client relations, attention to detail, follow-through, and follow-up skills.
- Work Style: You can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, multi-task and manage rapidly changing priorities, and you have integrity always in everything you do.
- Travel: Events and meetings in addition to client offices.
- Other: A clean background screen, a driver’s license, and the ability to drive.
