The responsibilities of this position are to disassemble and inspect, evaluate, recondition, reassemble and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and other components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to read schematics and operation sheets.
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble machines and equipment.
- Responsible for inspecting, identifying and installing seals.
- Responsible for inspecting valves and pumps.
- Responsible for testing and set-up of all repaired equipment.
- Reports any malfunctions or equipment problems to Shop Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must be proficient in basic cylinder assembly and teardown skills.
- Steady eye-hand coordination.
- Strong communication skills.
Physical Requirement:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Hydraulic experience a plus.
- Welding experience a plus.
