The successful candidate will assist our veterinarians and veterinary team with a wide range of patient-care and hospital responsibilities, including:
  • Providing compassionate, safe, and efficient patient care
  • Assisting veterinarians with examinations and procedures
  • Obtaining and recording accurate patient histories and vital signs
  • Handling and restraining dogs and cats safely and appropriately
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory samples
  • Performing in-house laboratory testing
  • Assisting with radiographs, ultrasounds and diagnostic procedures
  • Preparing patients for surgery and dental procedures
  • Monitoring anesthetized patients and assisting with recovery
  • Providing routine nursing care and patient monitoring
  • Performing dental cleanings and dental radiographs as appropriate for credentialed staff
  • Administering medications and treatments under veterinary direction
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Preparing and dispensing medications according to hospital protocols
  • Educating clients about medications, nutrition, preventative care, and treatment instructions
  • Maintaining clean, organized treatment, surgical, and kennel areas
  • Stocking and maintaining medical and pharmacy supplies
  • Providing excellent client service and helping create a positive client experience
  • Working collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and reception staff
  • Good attendance, work ethic, and positive attitude
