Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Green Bay - Green Bay, WI 54302Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: Day  Class A CDL Driver  Why You’ll Love This Role  Be the friendly face customers rely on for expert guidance and support.  Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented retail environment where every day is different.  Gain hands-on experience with hardware, building materials, and retail operations.  Help maintain a well-organized, welcoming store that serves professional contractors and DIY customers alike.  Join a company built on values of honesty, people first, ownership, creating raving fans, continuous improvement, and community.  What You’ll Do  As a Class A CDL Driver, you'll play a critical role in delivering building materials safely and efficiently to customer job sites. You'll represent Bliffert with professionalism, ensure compliance with DOT regulations, and support yard and delivery operations while creating a positive customer experience.  Safe Delivery & Transportation  Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles while adhering to all DOT, DMV, and company regulations.  Deliver building materials to residential and commercial job sites accurately and on schedule.  Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions while following established safety procedures.  Drive through designated routes and comply with weigh station requirements and state regulations.  Secure loads using straps, tie-downs, and other approved cargo-securing methods.  Immediately report accidents, incidents, traffic violations, or vehicle concerns.  Customer Service  Provide outstanding service and represent Bliffert professionally at all delivery locations.  Communicate effectively with customers regarding deliveries and special requests.  Read and fulfill special orders as directed by sales teams.  Assist customers with unloading and material placement when appropriate.  Support the company mission of creating raving fans through every customer interaction.  Equipment & Yard Operations  Safely operate a Moffett forklift and other powered equipment.  Load and unload building materials, lumber, and related products.  Perform lumber returns and material transfers between job sites and company locations.  Assist with sorting, stocking, and moving materials in varying weather conditions and terrain.  Operate power tools, saws, chainsaws, and other approved equipment safely.  Maintain clean and organized vehicles, equipment, yard spaces, and work areas.  Safety & Compliance  Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and operational procedures.  Conduct daily vehicle inspections and perform basic vehicle maintenance, including checking fluids and identifying maintenance needs.  Maintain a valid CDL and Federal Medical Card.  Report workplace injuries immediately to management.  Protect company information by maintaining the confidentiality of financial information and business plans.  Follow all housekeeping and safety expectations established by management.  Keywords  Class A CDL Driver, Commercial Driver, CDL-A, Truck Driver, Building Materials Delivery, Lumber Delivery, Flatbed Driver, Moffett Operator, Forklift Operator, DOT Compliance, Transportation, Local Delivery Driver, Construction Materials, Customer Service, Safety Compliance, Material Handling, Logistics, Lumber Yard, Delivery Specialist, Commercial Driving, Boom, Crane QualificationsRequired Qualifications  Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).  Current Federal Medical Card.  Safe driving record and commitment to safety.  Ability to operate a Moffett forklift or willingness to be trained.  Ability to read invoices, work orders, delivery tickets, product labels, warnings, and directions.  Ability to complete inventory sheets, loading documents, and delivery paperwork accurately.  Ability to lift and carry building materials and work in all weather conditions.  Strong communication and customer service skills.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Reports directly to the Operations Manager or assigned Supervisor. Boom and Crane Experience Compensation Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, CDL endorsements, and equipment operation experience.
