POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supply Planner is responsible for fulfilling replenishment and inventory requirements for all Global Distribution points to meet customer service and inventory targets, balance supplier capacities and material constraints, and achieve company supply chain goals and objectives (i.e. inventory levels, customer order fill rate, customer order on-time performance, inventory life cycle management, etc.). The planner will also place and manage purchase orders of inventory required to support expected sales and inventory level targets.
Responsibilities
POSITION PROFILE:
- Prepare, execute, and manage the monthly planning cycle to achieve customer service, and inventory goals. Develop intimately deep cross regional and cross functional relationships and communicate with Suppliers, Demand Planning, Sales, Customer Service, and Distribution / Logistics to adjust plans for changes in forecast or actual supply or customer order. Demonstrate comfortability with managing complex business scenarios
- Manage and proactively communicate supply status and critical supply chain metrics. Perform ad-hoc analytical analysis, recognize issues, develop plan for resolution, and implement and/or influence the support of key partners to aid implementation. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with presentation of information.
- Work with suppliers, sourcing partners and internal cross-functional organizations to improve product cycle time and increase supply flexibility and reliability. Assess and manage product capacity requirements and capabilities.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels across the global distribution network by matching supply and demand and identify and drive minimization of write-offs.
- Represent and make supply commitments on behalf of supply chain organization across all product life cycles. (launch, promotional, maintenance, returns, through to end of life close outs) and by location.
- Participate in Global Sales and Operations Planning Process for respective product categories
- Provide timely and accurate reporting which improves BISSELL supply chain effectiveness and cost. Examples include logistics costs, customer fill rate, days on hand, inventory turns, etc.
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Degree minimum: Bachelor’s Degree
Specific concentration: Business or Engineering
Experience level: 3+ years total, 2+ years in Supply Chain preferred
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILLS:
- Demonstrated experience managing inventory across multiple nodes
- Demonstrated experience optimizing capacity utilization
- Demonstrated experience using Advance Planning Systems (SAP, Blue Yonder, o9, etc)
- Experience working within a global supply chain
- Strong MS Office skills, with advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Proficiency with a data visualization platform (PowerBI / Tableau / Domo)
- APICS CPM/CSCP Certification or equivalent
SKILLS REQUIRED:
This position requires the ability to manage the flow of data, perform analysis, generate summary reports and communicate by voice or data while being connected in the office, at home, or while travelling by laptop or mobile device regularly without regard to time zone or day of the week.
