Rhoades McKee is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting the Firm's human resources operations, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, compliance, and employee lifecycle activities.
The ideal candidate will have prior human resources experience, strong attention to detail, excellent judgment, and the ability to build positive working relationships throughout the Firm. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across a broad range of HR functions while working closely with Firm leadership and employees in a collaborative, professional environment.
What You'll Do
- Support daily human resources operations and employee lifecycle processes.
- Manage employee records and maintain confidential HR documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities for new hires.
- Assist with benefits administration, leave tracking, employee status changes, and payroll coordination.
- Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, background checks, and hiring documentation.
- Assist with employee offboarding, exit processes, and related administrative requirements.
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, onboarding, and other HR matters.
- Coordinate employee events, training programs, internal communications, and HR projects.
- Partner with Human Resources Manager and Firm leadership to provide responsive and professional HR support.Â
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2-5+ years of Human Resources, payroll, benefits, recruiting, or employee relations experience.
- Experience in a law firm environment is not required.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee recordkeeping, and employment-related processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technology.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and commitment to providing exceptional internal client service.Â
