ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completion of assigned equipment PM activities as scheduled by CMMS.
- Repair and troubleshoot injection press mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Repair and troubleshoot cementing/coating mechanical, electrical, and spraying systems.
- Repair and troubleshoot of robots and robotic assembly cells, including EOAT.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using machine schematics and assembly drawings.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and modify PLC programming, HMI development, and vision camera configurations. Basic PLC program development for machines.
- Navigate, program, and teach robot positions and programs, including I/O and EOAT.
- Plan and complete projects, refurbishments, and rebuilds.
- Complete and accurately enter work activity into CMMS.
- Daily housekeeping and 5S of work areas and maintenance shop.
- Required to work mandatory overtime when scheduled.
- Knowledge and practice of Hutchinson’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate with maintenance staff and personnel from other company departments
- Attention to detail, accuracy, completion of scheduled tasks
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic aptitudes
- Able to work independently
- Must possess applicable knowledge of PLC and robotic systems, including programming and troubleshooting
- Must understand the role and function of the maintenance organization in a manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or journeyman in related area. Minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math and problem-solving skills required for measurements, fabrication, and completion of paperwork and reporting.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Employee must be able to navigate and input data into CMMS. Employee must be able to use the computer to connect to various PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems using correct software and hardware configurations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; walk; bend; use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, to climb, and to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
