Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, develop, and implement improvements in manufacturing methods, process flow, tooling, and equipment.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and collect data from the ERP system to support improvement initiatives and monitor project effectiveness.

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality, scrap, or downtime issues.

  • Participate in APQP, PPAP, and new product launch activities; ensure manufacturability and smooth transition to production.

  • Design and specify fixturing, tooling, and layout changes as needed to improve workflow or quality.

  • Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production teams to resolve process bottlenecks or technical challenges.

  • Support capital equipment justification and installation, including development of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs).

  • Track and report on engineering projects, downtime trends, and continuous improvement metrics.

  • Ensure processes comply with safety standards and environmental regulations.

  • Maintain accurate and updated work instructions and process documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (die casting or machining preferred).

  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, process control, and continuous improvement tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma).

  • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.

  • Effective communicator and team player with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is split between the shop floor and an office environment.

  • May occasionally work off-shifts to support projects or troubleshoot issues.

  • Must wear appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures when on the shop floor.
