You will be based at our client on the west coast of Sweden. Our client is a European research and development organisation working on next-generation vehicle architectures, digital technologies, and intelligent systems. This is a longterm, full-time, on-site assignment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for a Function ECU Developer to temporarily strengthen Body Controls. You will work with both body function development and ECU ownership for a Body Controller, as part of the Vehicle Electronics & Software team.
You will define, maintain and follow up functional and ECU-related requirements, ensure that supplier deliveries are aligned with agreed specifications, processes and standards, and support end-to-end development from concept through verification and validation.
You will act as a technical interface for the Body Controller, support integration of body functions into the ECU, follow up software and system issues, and contribute to planning and execution of related test and verification activities. Close cooperation with internal engineering teams, IT and external suppliers is a core part of the role.
Examples of major tasks:
Develop and maintain body control concepts, functional specifications and requirements.
Act as ECU owner and technical interface for a Body Controller, including requirement alignment, supplier follow-up, release coordination and issue handling.
Review and follow up software and system issues in issue tracking systems.
Drive technical discussions with suppliers and secure implementation according to agreed specifications, processes and standards.
Support integration, testing, verification and validation activities for body functions and the Body Controller.
Cooperate with international stakeholders across engineering teams, brands and suppliers.
Drive innovation and adaptation of body functions for vehicles on European markets.
âś… REQUIREMENTS
Experience from working with Body Controllers is required.
5+ years of experience within the automotive area.
Experience from automotive electrical systems, electrical architecture and/or software development.
Knowledge of ECU and/or software development processes.
Knowledge of automotive best practices, standards and regulations.
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent field is an advantage.
Office applications, SystemWeaver, JIRA, TeamCenter, CANoe and LDB are used on the assignment.
Previous experience with the client organisation is preferred.
