The analyst produces written recommendations and analysis that directly inform portfolio decisions and monitors an assigned set of sectors and issuers for the fixed income team on an ongoing basis.

Everence manages the Praxis Funds according to a faith-based, values-driven investment approach. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in this type of investing and wants their research to shape investment decisions that reflect those values.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  1. Produce written credit research and recommendations on assigned bond issuers, including financial analysis, sustainability assessment and relative value comparisons that Fixed Income Portfolio Managers use to make investment decisions.

  3. Support the Equity Portfolio Manager in the management of the Praxis domestic equity index funds, including index tracking and rebalancing analysis.
  4. Build, maintain, and improve Excel-based models and analytical tools used in the investment process, with the goal of improving analytical efficiency and consistency across the team.
  5. Develop proficiency in the team’s core investment software (Bloomberg, BondEdge, and Northfield optimization); familiarity with basic scripting or data tools (e.g. Python, VBA) is a plus for handling larger datasets.
  6. Participate in investment team discussions and debates, presenting and defending research views to Portfolio Managers and contributing to group decision-making.
  7. Travel occasionally (typically 1-3 times per year) to industry conferences and seminars to build investment and technical skills.
