Job Description:

The Department of History in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Louisiana State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in 20th Century U.S. history. We especially welcome candidates with expertise in the following fields: capitalism, political history, or political economy; the histories of medicine, science, technology, or the environment; race, ethnicity, or borderlands. 

Responsibilities

  • Teach two courses per semester.
  • Assist in the supervision of graduate students in US history.
  • Engage in scholarly research and contribute to service within the department and university.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in History or equivalent or related field and evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarship.

Appointment Details
