Monday through Friday 8am -5pm 

Position Overview

The Stick Welder position is responsible for performing hands-on welding work using stick welding (SMAW) equipment to support site equipment racking, and other welding-related projects. The individual will work closely with the Site Manager or Operations Manager to complete welding assignments safely, accurately, and efficiently.

This position requires demonstrated experience operating stick welding equipment, reading and understanding welding requirements, preparing metal surfaces and materials, and producing strong, quality welds for various site and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

1. Maintenance Projects

•  Assist the Site Manager or Operations Manager with site improvement projects, including construction, equipment racking, stick welding (SMAW), fabrication, and other related maintenance and improvement tasks. 
• Participate in various projects aimed at enhancing the facility’s functionality. 

2. Problem Solving and Innovation

• Collaborate with the project manager or site manager to analyze complex issues and challenges related to projects. 
• Contribute to the development of innovative strategies and solutions to overcome obstacles and achieve project goals.

3. Quality Assurance

• Assist the project manager or site manager in maintaining high-quality standards for project deliverables.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities align with the organization’s policies and guidelines.

4. Safety

• Adhere to safety standards and protocols during all maintenance and repair activities. 
• Report any incidents promptly to management.

5. Perform Other Duties as Assigned

• Maintain and repair facility equipment and machinery as determined by site.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operation.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior experience in hands-on welding work.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to diagnose and address issues effectively.
• Strong capability to work independently, completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders, conveying technical information clearly.
• Familiarity with various automotive tools and repair techniques.
• Ability to understand and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

• May work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to work occasional overtime as needed as determined by the employee’s supervisor.
