As the Senior Manager - Indirect Strategic Sourcing, you will be responsible for helping build and lead Wesco’s enterprise indirect procurement sourcing function, developing sourcing strategies, optimizing supplier performance, improving spend visibility, and delivering measurable cost savings across indirect spend categories. You will be accountable for partnering with business leaders to align sourcing priorities with enterprise objectives, establish scalable sourcing processes, supplier governance practices, and support procurement transformation initiatives within a newly developing indirect procurement organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide indirect sourcing strategies
- Manage supplier relationships and drive vendor rationalization initiatives across multiple spend categories
- Lead contract negotiations focused on cost reduction, risk mitigation, and service optimization
- Identify opportunities to optimize more than $2B in indirect enterprise spend
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and align sourcing strategies
- Establish supplier governance and performance management programs
- Drive compliance with procurement policies and sourcing standards
- Develop sourcing roadmaps that support organizational growth and transformation initiatives
- Build and lead a high-performing indirect procurement team as the organization scales
- Collaborate closely with the Operations Excellence Lead to create a seamless Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Procure-to-Invoice (P2I) operating model
- Support future procurement technology and process transformation initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree - Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Operations, or related discipline required; Masters Degree preferred
- 8 years of progressive experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or related leadership roles
- Experience leading indirect sourcing functions within a large-scale B2B organization
- Proven ability to negotiate complex supplier agreements, deliver measurable cost savings, and manage supplier governance and vendor performance
- Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence senior business leaders and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Demonstrated people leadership experience managing teams, developing talent, and building or transforming procurement organizations
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing standards, compliance requirements, supplier governance, and vendor management
- Experience with enterprise procurement technologies, sourcing tools, contract management systems, or procure-to-pay platforms preferred
- Experience supporting procurement transformation initiatives, operating model design, or process improvement efforts preferred
- Experience managing large indirect spend portfolios across multiple categories preferred
- Ability to travel 0% - 25%
