Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Technical Assistant, you will perform tasks directly involved in transporting patients and specimens within the hospital and/or dispatching transporters to and from all departments, as needed, to ensure timely and consistent delivery.

Every day, you will assist nursing with lifting and moving patients as needed to ensure a smooth transport process for patients. Transports patients in gurneys or wheelchairs in a safe and courteous mannerTo be successful in this role, you must possess strong organizational skills, an aptitude for technical concepts, and a keen attention to detail in a support-driven environment.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

 

  • Demonstrates through actions a focus on the care and safety of patients having Imaging exams.
  • Transports patients of all age groups at the direction of the Technical staff.
  • Exercises tact, sympathy, and professionalism in dealing with patients and relatives in all age groups from pediatric to geriatric.
  • Assists in the delivery of Imaging reports to the nursing units and patient charts.
  • Keeps management staff fully informed of all issues relating to departmental operations.

Job Requirements

Required: 

 

  • High School Diploma / GED General Studies 
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) required.
