POSITION SUMMARYÂ
Enhances the quality of life for members and team members by consistently following and demonstrating the WEST service model, delivering service that meets or exceeds expectations. Responsible for ensuring the organization effectively collects, interprets, and utilizes data to support informed decision-making and business insight. Â Designs, delivers, and maintains analytics and reporting solutions, applying sound analytical judgment and partnering closely with the Management and business stakeholders to support data sourcing, reporting, and governance needs. With a strong focus on service, integrity, and continuous improvement, this position helps translate business questions into actionable insights and ensures data is leveraged consistently to drive organizational goals and meaningful results.Â
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
• Data Collection & Analysis – Collect, validate, transform, and analye data from multiple systems and sources to support business understanding and day-to-day decision-making. Translate raw data into clear, meaningful insights by applying established analytical methods, data definitions, and reporting standards. Develop and maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports and analytical outputs that support operational and departmental goals. Apply foundational knowledge across Business Intelligence domains such as Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Lifecycle Management to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and appropriate use. Partner with stakeholders to clarify analytical questions, document requirements, interpret results, and ensure data outputs include appropriate context, assumptions, and limitations.Â
• Reporting & Visualization – Drive the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of dashboards and reports that support operational and departmental decision‑making. Ensure metrics, KPIs, and visualizations are clearly defined, consistently applied, and accurately documented through maintained data dictionaries and reporting workflows. Implement enhancements to reporting and visualization solutions to improve clarity, usability, and analytical effectiveness. Evaluate reporting needs and design solutions that present data in ways that are meaningful and actionable for stakeholders. Monitor KPI accuracy and integrity and lead reporting validation and testing efforts during platform updates and system implementations, ensuring reporting outputs remain reliable and aligned with business expectations.Â
• Collaboration, Support & Administration – Serve as a primary analytics partner to internal teams by working closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective, data-driven solutions. Manage and resolve Technology Services tickets related to reporting and analytics systems, applying sound judgment to assess risk, impact, and complexity and escalating issues as appropriate. Ensure adherence to technology access controls and administrative processes by following established security policies and maintaining appropriate system permissions. Actively support and contribute to cross-departmental initiatives, balancing multiple priorities, adapting to changing business needs, and maintaining reliable delivery across concurrent efforts.Â
• Process Improvement & Governance – Evaluate data and reporting processes to identify inefficiencies and implements improvements to data workflows, documentation standards, and reporting efficiency by applying sound analytical judgment and established best practices. Develop and maintain procedures that support compliance with internal data governance policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Actively support and contribute to data-related project activities, including data and platform integrations, ensuring solutions align with governance expectations, quality standards, and intended business outcomes. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain a high level of accuracy, consistency, and documentation throughout change and improvement efforts.Â
• Professional Standards & Confidentiality – Provide backup support to other areas of the department as needed ensuring alignment with organizational goals and core values.  Maintain confidentiality of systems, records, and sensitive data.  Maintain performance standards by performing all activities consistent with core values, meeting established service standards, policies, and procedures, and preserving the confidentiality of systems and records.Â
• Technology Governance & Innovation – Evaluate, implement, and manage emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, in alignment with the credit union’s technology strategy, security standards, data governance practices, and regulatory expectations.Â

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSÂ
EDUCATION:Â
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or G.E.D., Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field preferred.  Equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and relevant experience will be considered.Â
EXPERIENCE:Â
3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting, preferably within a financial institution or similarly regulated environment. Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools such as PowerBI, Snowflake, and SSRS, with responsibility for owning and maintaining reporting solutions with SQL is required, including designing and optimizing queries, joining multiple tables or data sources, performing complex aggregations, and using SQL to support root-cause analysis, reporting solutions, and process improvement efforts. Ability to apply data cleansing, transformation, and validation techniques to ensure data integrity and reliability. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to independently partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights.
