About the Role
This is the person who keeps our warehouse running. You'll own the organization of our physical inventory, the accuracy of our inventory records, and the daily job of getting customer orders packed correctly and out the door. With over 1,000 distinct products on our shelves, precision matters — knowing the difference between similar-looking parts is a core part of doing this job well.
It's also a varied role. You won't be doing one task in isolation every day. Depending on what the team needs, you may be listing products on our website, prepping items for product photography, or stepping in wherever there's a gap. If you like the idea of a job where you understand the whole business rather than one narrow slice of it, you'll like this one.
What You'll Do
- Keep the warehouse meticulously organized so that any product can be located quickly and reliably
- Perform detailed inventory data entry and maintain accurate stock records
- Monitor stock levels and flag or place reorders so we never run out of a product unnecessarily
- Plan storage layout — figuring out where items should live to make the best possible use of our space
- Order warehouse supplies, equipment, and replacement products
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders daily, verifying that the right product goes to the right customer
- Develop working knowledge of our 1,000+ product catalog and how similar parts differ
- Assist with related work as needed, including posting products to our online store and sending products out to be photographed
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the team and pitch in where help is needed
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional attention to detail. This is the single most important trait for this role. Our catalog is full of parts that look nearly identical but aren't, and a shipping error costs a customer their trust.
- A genuine drive to keep things orderly. You should find a disorganized shelf actively annoying and want to fix it.
- Strong spatial reasoning. You can look at a space and a pile of inventory and work out the smartest way to fit it together.
- Comfort with computers and data entry. You'll be working in our inventory system daily and need to be accurate and consistent with it.
- A team-first attitude. Nobody here works on their own island. When the team needs help with something outside your usual duties, the answer needs to be "yes."
- Reliability and follow-through. Small team, so your work directly affects everyone else's.
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and move inventory, and to be on your feet for much of the day.
Preferred
- Knowledge of and passion for retro video games and hardware. You don't need to be an expert on day one, but familiarity with the systems and parts we sell will help you learn the catalog faster — and caring about the products makes the work a lot more enjoyable.
- Prior warehouse, fulfillment, inventory, or e-commerce experience.
