This position ensures a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff by performing specialized floor care and environmental services duties in accordance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. Previous floor care, housekeeping, custodial, or environmental services experience preferred. Experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of floor care procedures and cleaning techniques. Ability to safely operate floor maintenance equipment. Understanding of chemical safety and infection control practices. Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reach. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate commercial floor cleaning equipment safely. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions throughout the facility. Working Conditions Exposure to cleaning chemicals and disinfectants. Exposure to healthcare and long-term care environments. May be required to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
