Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time - General Duty in Savannah, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies; verify credentials, direct guests, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, and support a professional environment through courteous interactions and adherence to assigned post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
