The Manager of Vendor Management blends procurement expertise with deep familiarity of revenue-cycle processes to lead the revenue-cycle organization's strategy for selecting, contracting, and governing third-party services that support the entire revenue cycle continuum, including but not limited to, patient access, billing, coding, collections, and compliance. Operating under the Director of Reporting & Analytics, this role ensures that every vendor relationship is aligned with UF Health's quality, regulatory, and financial objectives. The role includes vendor evaluation to ensure all SLAs are being met, projected financial impact is achieved, and payment is within the scope of service.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in health administration, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or relative experience.
Experience
- Minimum 3'years in vendor management or procurement within healthcare, with at least 2'years in a supervisory role overseeing revenue-cycle or related services.
License/Certification/Registration
- Vendor Management or Procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, MCPM, or equivalent) is a plus.
Other Qualifications
- Proven track record of negotiating favorable contracts, service agreements, and renewal terms with external partners, including experience with healthcare-specific compliance language.
- History of leading multi-department initiatives (e.g., project implementation, compliance campaigns, or workforce-development pilots) from conception through delivery, coordinating resources, timelines, and communication among diverse teams.
- Experience leading a small team, coaching staff, and driving process improvements.
