Overview

The Director of Scheduling & Pre-Service provides enterprise-wide leadership over centralized scheduling and pre-arrival readiness for hospital and ambulatory services, including appointment accuracy, pre-registration completeness and proactive patient outreach prior to date of service. This leader is accountable for defining and executing the scheduling and pre-service operating model to deliver a consistent access experience and reduce downstream disruption, cancellations, and avoidable rework. The Director partners with clinical operations, utilization management, revenue cycle leaders, strategic business partners, and technology teams to streamline workflows, enable digital self-service and automation and strengthen handoffs that support clean-claim performance, compliance and enterprise standardization.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of revenue cycle leadership experience.

License/Certification/Registration: Not required.

• Demonstrated leadership in enterprise governance across:

  • Hospital patient access models
  • Ambulatory patient access models

• Strong technology fluency with experience using:

  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) scheduling modules

  • Digital self-service scheduling platforms
  • CRM and patient outreach platforms
  • Analytics and reporting solutions

• Experience implementing:

  • Automation technologies
  • Digital communication strategies
  • Workflow optimization initiatives

• Proven ability to achieve and measure:

  • Performance improvements
  • Operational efficiencies
  • Patient access enhancements
  • Technology adoption outcomes

• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
