Job Summary

The Patient Receipt Specialist is responsible for posting and balancing daily cash, submitting time, edits, reviewing and approving time cards, and reviewing paystubs each pay period to ensure all rates and deductions are calculated correctly. 

Essential Functions

  • Post payments to accounts
  • Balance batches of checks
  • Pull and post Meditech payments and adjustments
  • Post AS400 exception reports
  • Move accounts to broken promise status for payments that were rejected
  • Responsible for submitting time, edits, reviewing and approving time cards, and reviewing paystubs each pay period to ensure all rates and deductions are calculated correctly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required
  • 0-1 years Patient receipts related experience and/or training required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Flexible Automated Collection System (FACS) database software
  • AS400 HMS/Medhost software
  • Cerner software
