Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room to provide high-quality, safe, and patient-centered nursing care. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating direct patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
This role plays an important part in maintaining clinical excellence, patient safety, infection prevention, quality improvement, and effective resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual patient needs.
- Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
- Ensure care is delivered according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
- Supervise and appropriately delegate patient care activities to clinical support staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.
- Support appropriate and effective utilization of clinical resources.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and fulfill assigned Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities when required.
- Demonstrate knowledge of hospital emergency codes and appropriate response procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Â 2+ years of Operating Room RN experienceÂ
- Graduate of an accredited or state-approved School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state or eligibility to practice as required by law and regulations.
- Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Previous Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience.
- Knowledge of patient safety, infection control, quality improvement, and risk management practices.
