Job Title: Operations Administrator
Reports to: Operations Manager
Department: Brewery Operations
Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
Description/Expectations:
The Operations Administrator is an inventory specialist responsible for supporting the brewery by ensuring an accurate inventory of all materials. This position oversees the accuracy of inventory of all materials used in the production of our products as well as finished goods. This position will lead regular inventory counts and perform periodic validation of inventory, working closely with purchasing and planning specialists. The Operations Administrator also works with the brewer, cellar and packaging teams to ensure their accurate recordkeeping of material consumption, including working directly with operators on the floor. This position participates in the freight planning and booking process as assigned.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Oversees all recorded inventory databases for the production department.
- Works with operators to support the correct and timely processing of inventory.
- Performs periodic inventories of all raw materials, including packaging materials.
- Performs periodic inventories of all finished goods, in cooperation with the Warehouse Manager
- Reports all inventory variances and works to keep accurate information on hand for purchasing and planning specialists
- Works with the purchasing specialist to coordinate inbound raw material shipments.
- Participates in scheduling freight for outbound finished goods shipments as assigned.
- Additional tasks as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Study and/or work experience in inventory management, operations, or related field.
- 2-3 years experience in administrative role, preferably in manufacturing, food and beverage, or related field.
- Experience working with external vendors and relationship management
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft office applications.
- Excellence in Excel/Google Sheets is a plus
- Experience with ERP Inventory/accounting systems is a plus.
- Experience with SAP Business One and/or OrchestratedBeer is a plus.
- Outstanding internal and external communication skills; ability to communicate with multi-level management.
- Team work focused and positive attitude, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
- Problem solver; ability to take initiatives
- Understanding of budget management
- Extremely Organized
- Knowledge of the craft beer market/industry and appreciation of the culture that goes with it.
