Overview

Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

 

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and improve daily living skills through personalized, compassionate care. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct treatment services to a diverse community-based caseload while applying clinical best practices and evidence-based interventions. Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality and safe delivery of services to patients according to care plan.  Uses equipment and supplies safely, effectively, and efficiently. 
  • Consistently utilizes a patient-centered approach considering physical, psych/social, spiritual, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned service area. 
  • Treats patients/clients to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance using specified occupational therapy procedures. 
  • Directs and aids patients/clients in plan of treatment. 
  • Delivers quality care consistent with Home Health Conditions of Participation, qualifying home care criteria, payor coverage criteria, and providing visits/treatments consistent with the plan of care. 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of State Board approved program for Occupational Therapy Assistants  

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Licensed, registered, or certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the state(s) where providing services 
  • ICM Certification 
  • Valid licensed driver with automobile insurance in accordance with state(s) and/or organizational requirements.   
  • Mandatory Reporter: Child & Dependent Adult Abuse. 
  • CPR: Maintain a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Card with Re-certification. 

Minimum Expeirence:

  • Minimum CNA 75 hour
  • 1 year experience in a health care field

Other:

  • Use of usual + customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
