What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting providers and delivering an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities include:
- Rooming patients and preparing them for examination and treatment
- Obtaining and documenting patient medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints
- Recording vital signs and updating electronic medical records
- Assisting providers with dermatologic examinations, procedures, biopsies, surgeries, and cosmetic treatments
- Preparing exam and procedure rooms, instruments, and supplies
- Educating patients on treatment plans, medications, skincare recommendations, and follow-up care
- Processing specimens and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations
- Providing outstanding customer service to patients and visitors
- Supporting clinic operations and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience required
- Prior medical assistant, healthcare, or clinical experience preferred
- Dermatology experience preferred but not required
- Medical Assistant certification, diploma, or completion of a medical vocational program preferred
- Ability to learn and understand medical terminology, anatomy, and vital signs
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
