The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly capable IT Infrastructure professional to join our team supporting a mission-critical customer program. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where reliable, secure, and resilient infrastructure is essential to the success of the mission.

You will administer, configure, and manage servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and network infrastructure to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software, and system specifications. You will play an important role in ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of the infrastructure supporting the customer’s mission.

This role is well suited for someone who wants to take ownership of critical infrastructure, work alongside experienced technical teams, and contribute directly to a mission where technical excellence, reliability, and security matter every day.


Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Administration & Support:

  • Administer and manage IT infrastructure including servers, storage systems, virtual platforms, and network connectivity
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with IT hardware and software infrastructure using systems analysis techniques and procedures
    Provide system administration for assigned infrastructure and establish and maintain security as it relates to users
  • Apply security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment​

Configuration & Deployment:

  • Configure and deploy Windows and Linux-based servers, workstations, and supporting infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain virtualization platforms for various applications and services
  • Establish and maintain system configurations to meet technical and business requirements

Security & Compliance:

  • Work closely with the cybersecurity team to maintain seamless system operations while adhering to security protocols
  • Implement security controls and access management for user systems and infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with established security standards and procedures

Infrastructure Projects & Documentation:

  • Support new infrastructure projects from planning through implementation
  • Maintain all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure
  • Develop standard operating procedures, system configuration guides, and technical documentation
  • Establish operational plans for technical areas and implement best practices

Problem Resolution & Analysis:

  • ​ Diagnose complex problems spanning servers, operating systems, storage, networking, and hardware
  • Use systems analysis techniques to ensure appropriate function of system specifications
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to resolve infrastructure issues
  • Coordinate with various teams to resolve technical and operational challenges

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Present system capabilities and infrastructure solutions to technical and business stakeholders
  • Communicate with executive leadership on matters of technical importance
  • Provide feedback to improve infrastructure functionality and efficiency

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience in systems administration, infrastructure management, network administration, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot infrastructure hardware and software issues
  • Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. military, DoD, Intelligence Community, or other government customers
  • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
  • Extensive Linux and Windows server/workstation administration and troubleshooting experience
  • Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms)
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and network services
  • Experience with security patch management, system hardening, and security compliance
  • Knowledge of storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
