Position Overview

Essnova Solutions is seeking an Expert Mission Advocate to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) PEO GEOINT Ground (PEO-GG) organization. This individual will advise senior executive leadership across key NGA offices and develop high-impact strategic communications addressing complex and sensitive mission issues.

The Expert Mission Advocate will work directly with senior stakeholders to ensure executive communications are logical, accurate, comprehensive, visually compelling, and aligned with organizational priorities. The position combines strategic communications, executive writing, visual communications, planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise senior executive leadership across organizations including ADC, OCIO, OCDO, and Program Executive Offices.
  • Create, review, and refine agency-level communications addressing complex and high-priority mission issues.
  • Develop executive talking points, briefings, official correspondence, articles, and related communications.
  • Advise leadership on strategic engagement and communication plans.
  • Evaluate executive materials for logic, clarity, comprehensiveness, relevance, grammar, and style.
  • Design and develop sophisticated graphical and visual content for NGA leadership and senior decision-makers.
  • Coordinate with NGA subject matter experts to transform complex information into compelling narrative and visual products.
  • Support strategic communications, planning, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX personnel to maintain consistent design and presentation across PEO-GG products.
  • Manage multiple priorities and rapidly changing requirements while producing precise, error-free work.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of War (DoW) Mission IT capabilities through multiple communication tools to stakeholders and oversight organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with leadership in developing strategic engagement and communication plans.
  • Demonstrated experience developing talking points, briefings, official correspondence, and articles for executive-level management.
  • Demonstrated specialized IC or DoW experience producing visualizations and communications within applicable publication policies.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Affairs, Communication/Broadcasting, Business Management, English, or a related qualifying discipline; OR at least 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Current Top Secret clearance and eligibility for favorable NGA adjudication for SCI access.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Affairs, English, or Business Management.
  • Specialized experience with NGA and/or another Intelligence Community agency's missions and communications policies.
  • Knowledge of PEO-GG systems.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence principles.

Location: NGA Washington / Fort Belvoir, VA area
Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite; telework is minimally available and requires Government approval.
Travel: Infrequent CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required.
