Community Shelter Staff-Full Time or Part Time

We are looking for staff members who will assist shelter guests with daily needs, including food, shelter and laundry, while exhibiting the love of Christ.

Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

• Enforce rules and guidelines.
• Assist guests (wash laundry, provide meals).
• Upkeep of TCS (cleaning).
• Prepare NOUs (coordinate transportation if needed).
• Answer inquiries via telephone.
• Intake of donations.
• Check guests in and out of TCS.
• Check guest eligibility before entering TCS (to include conducting background checks on guests).
• Prepare guest check in packages.
• Maintain clean, safe, and spiritual environment for guests.

Religious Qualifications:

• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ demonstrated through a profession of faith.
• Actively participate in and remain in good standing with a local Christian church.
• Support and uphold the mission, values, and Christian principles of House of Hope of the Pee Dee.
• Demonstrate spiritual maturity, integrity, humility, and compassion.
• Have a passion for serving individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship.
• Be willing to pray with, encourage, and share the Gospel with residents, guests, volunteers, and staff when appropriate.
• Exhibit Christian conduct consistent with Biblical principles both professionally and personally.
