Community & Engagement Manager

Position Summary
RMI is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Community & Engagement Manager to strengthen our presence in the communities we serve while creating meaningful experiences for our employees. This role will serve as a key ambassador for the organization, building strategic partnerships, coordinating community involvement initiatives, and fostering a positive, engaging workplace culture.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator and organizer who thrives on creating connections, managing events, and identifying opportunities to enhance both community visibility and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement & External Relations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local chambers of commerce, business leaders, and community stakeholders.
- Build and manage partnerships with community organizations, nonprofit groups, and charitable initiatives that align with RMI's mission and values.
- Evaluate, recommend, and coordinate sponsorship opportunities to maximize community impact and brand visibility.
- Plan and execute community events, health fairs, grand openings, networking opportunities, and local partnership activities.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to strengthen RMI's reputation, visibility, and community presence across all markets served.
- Represent RMI at community meetings, events, and industry functions.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives and partnerships.
Employee Experience & Culture
- Partner closely with People Operations to develop and coordinate employee events, celebrations, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives.
- Organize company meetings, appreciation events, team-building activities, and employee volunteer opportunities.
- Support internal communication efforts that reinforce organizational values, culture, and employee connection.
- Create engaging experiences that promote employee satisfaction, inclusion, and a strong sense of belonging.
- Ensure all employee-facing events and activities reflect a polished, welcoming experience consistent with the RMI brand.
- Collaborate across departments to identify opportunities that enhance workplace culture and employee engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in community relations, marketing, employee engagement, event management, public relations, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience building partnerships with community organizations, nonprofits, and business groups.
- Strong event planning and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for community or employee events.
