Job DetailsJob Location: First Internet Bank of Indiana Fishers - Fishers, IN 46038Job Shift: Monday to Friday; 8-5About the Position: First Internet Bank provides paid internship opportunities designed to give students hands-on experience in a professional banking environment and meaningful exposure to banking, sales, marketing, and business development functions. As the Relationship Development Intern you will work closely with the Marketing / Relationship Development team while supporting initiatives focused on deposit growth, prospecting, client outreach, and relationship development. You will gain exposure to customer acquisition strategies, market research, sales support activities, deposit products, internal systems, and operational projects. What You Will Do: Assist with prospecting and client outreach efforts to support deposit growth initiatives. Develop a thorough understanding of deposit products, pricing, the deposit application process, and customer needs. Conduct market research, industry trend analysis, and competitive reviews to identify opportunities for growth. Support sales and business development activities through data analysis, reporting, and prospect research. Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance the client experience and strengthen customer relationships. Acquire internal system knowledge to collect, analyze, maintain, and communicate essential business information. Collaborate with internal partners across the Bank to support customer acquisition and relationship development initiatives. Provide project support related to deposit growth, sales strategy, marketing initiatives, and relationship development efforts. Support workflow documentation, reporting, process improvement initiatives, and other operational projects that enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. What We’re Looking For: Currently pursuing an bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, sales, finance, communications, data analytics, or a related field. Demonstrated interest in business development, sales, marketing, relationship management, banking, or deposit products. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with data, reporting, customer relationship management, or presentation tools may be helpful. Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. High level of attention to detail, accuracy, professionalism, and discretion. Ability to work collaboratively, manage assigned priorities and deadlines, take initiative, and learn new concepts, processes, and systems. Ability to communicate information clearly in writing and in conversation. Ability to meet the scheduling and on-site work expectations established for the internship program and assigned department. Working Conditions/Demands: Professional office setting. Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer. Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
