Job DetailsJob Location: First Internet Bank of Indiana Fishers - Fishers, IN 46038Job Shift: Monday to Friday; 8-5About the Position: First Internet Bank provides paid internship opportunities designed to give students hands-on experience in a professional banking environment and real-world exposure to Human Resources. As the Human Resources Intern you will be assigned to a human resources-focused area, which may include Human Resources Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Payroll Administration, Learning & Development, Employee Experience, Organizational Development, or another HR function. You will contribute to meaningful work, collaborate with Human Resources professionals and business leaders, and develop an understanding of how Human Resources supports the employee experience, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and business strategy. Specific training, projects, systems, and learning objectives will be defined through a department-specific onboarding plan.  What You Will Do: Learn the responsibilities, processes, systems, and business purpose of the assigned Human Resources function through structured training, observation, and hands-on assignments. Assist with Human Resources projects, initiatives, and administrative processes that support departmental and organizational goals. Support the collection, organization, validation, analysis, and reporting of Human Resources data and information. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, internship program activities, employee communications, learning programs, talent development initiatives, and other HR activities as assigned. Conduct research on Human Resources trends, employee programs, learning strategies, workforce initiatives, and best practices. Assist with creating, reviewing, updating, or maintaining procedures, training materials, presentations, job postings, learning resources, and other Human Resources documentation. Participate in meetings with Human Resources team members, leaders, employees, and business partners, as appropriate to the assignment. Prepare reports, presentations, communications, analyses, and recommendations to support decision-making and program effectiveness. Maintain accurate, confidential, and secure information while following Bank policies, procedures, and professional standards. Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, attention to detail, curiosity, and a commitment to exceptional internal customer service. Perform other duties and complete additional learning assignments as requested. What We’re Looking For: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communications, Management, Leadership, Psychology, or a related field.  Demonstrated interest in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Experience, Organizational Development, Talent Management, or related discipline.  Strong presentation, public speaking, and communication skills.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  Strong organization, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.  Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.  Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with employees and leaders at various levels of the organization.  Interest in developing knowledge of Human Resources practices, employee development, organizational effectiveness, and workplace culture.  Working Conditions/Demands: Professional office setting. Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer. Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
