Unit Description
Tenaya Lodge is a 4-diamond resort located just outside the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. Surrounded by beautiful trees and granite peaks, the property offers a wide range of outdoor experiences. The resort is also home to Waybound, a nearby collection of modern cabins and cottages that provide a more private, retreat style stay with access to resort amenities. At Tenaya Lodge, team members are part of a hospitality experience shaped by the outdoors in one of California’s most iconic destinations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Maintain positive guest relations and high standards of service to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction
- Support the Restaurant Manager in training, motivating, and developing team members to maintain high performance and professionalism
- Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering and inventory, and oversee scheduling, payroll, and point-of-sale systems
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations
- Ability to drive company vehicles on property
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service standards
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, health regulations, and safety procedures
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and point of sale systems
- Ability to obtain ServSafe, Food Safety Handler, and Training for Intervention Procedures certifications
- Capacity to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business levels
- Must possess a valid drivers license
